I started my career hauling grain in Amarillo. I had an earlier model Freightliner and simply wasn’t able to make ends meet. Then I spoke with David at Jax Transport, LLC.

In Spring of 2017, Jax allowed me to pull their trailers with my rig. After 6 months of consistent loads, I made enough to purchase a newer Freightliner. Jax made it easy by always keeping me busy with loads – not just outbound, but both ways. There’s so much work at Jax, it gives owner operators opportunity to grow.
Business has been so good with Jax, that I know own 4 trucks in less than 3 years. I’m on track to double my fleet to 8 trucks by the end of this year.
Aside than more business than they can handle, they don’t have forced dispatch like other trucking companies. If you don’t want a particular lane, they’ll give you a different lane. And, If you’re ever in a bind, such as needing a fuel card or help to make repairs, they’ll go out of their way to help. What other trucking company will do this for you?

Jax simply makes it easy. Dispatch, safety, accounting – they have it all. Any business questions you have – they’re there to help.
If I had to give advice to someone wanting to start their own trucking company in Amarillo, I’d say you’ve got to work hard and put in the effort. Jax will give you all the opportunity you need to succeed.
