Jax Transport, LLC made available (5) 53’ refrigerated trailers, capable of holding 215,000 of supplies. These were filled and transported to Fort Lauderdale where they were shipped to the disaster ridden Bahamians.
Around 70,000 people were in need of lifesaving aid on the affected islands, said the top relief official for the United Nations, Mark Lowcock, speaking to reporters by phone from the Bahamas.
